Debut book of senior scribe from Kolkata launched in city

SHILLONG, Nov 20: Senior journalist Subroto Bhattacharjee’s debut book, Surreal Symphony of Nature, was officially released in absentia at the Shillong Literary Festival on Monday. The release took place at the book signing area near Ward’s Lake, with Shillong-based journalist Rajib Chowdhury and Assamese writer Madhu Raghavendra jointly unveiling the book.
Bhattacharjee, an 86-year-old veteran journalist residing in Kolkata, was unable to attend the event.
The book explores various aspects of Meghalaya and the Northeast, offering readers a unique perspective on the region’s culture and natural beauty.
