Prohibition

JOWAI: For the conduct of free and fair election to the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council, 2014 slated on February 24 and other instruction becoming operative the District Magistrate of West Jainita Hills District in exercise of power conferred upon him under Section 144 CrPC has prohibit any person or groups of persons from carrying money above Rs.50,000/- (fifty thousand) in the District. This order shall come into force with immediate effect and shall remain till Election process is over.
