JOWAI: The Dorbar Shnong of Khonglah village under Amlarem Sub-Division in West Jaintia Hills has decided to support Congress candidate, Herman Khonglah, a resident of the village who is contesting from War West.
In a statement released on Thursday, Raphaer Khonglah and Mindiang Sumer informed that the decision to support Herman Khonglah was taken in the general meeting of the Dorbar shnong held on Tuesday.
It will be a straight fight between Independent Candidate, Het Pohtmi who got the support of local MLA and Padubah Dorbar Shnong.
Local MLA and sitting MDC Stephanson Mukhim has decided to contest the JHADC election from War East in which a triangular fight will take place between former JHADC Chief, Lamdibok Sumer and Medaling Swer, a new face in the field of politics.
