Shullai urges Centre for direct funding to ADCs

SHILLONG, Jan 29: BJP MLA Sanbor Shullai on Wednesday met Union Minister of State (MoS) for DoNER, Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, to push for direct funding to the autonomous district councils (ADCs) and financial assistance for their functioning in Meghalaya.
During the meeting, Shullai also discussed various pending projects in the state and urged the minister to ensure the timely release of scholarships.
He further informed that Dr. Majumdar will visit Meghalaya after the district council elections to meet ADC leaders, and address their concerns and legitimate demands.
