SHILLONG: Nongmysong defeated Ryngksai by two wickets, while Eleven Star were more comfortable winners – by six wickets – over SOS in Second Division Cricket League matches held at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Monday.
Ryngksai SC were put into bat and were restricted to just 107 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
Imran scored 24, while Shining took 2/21.
In reply, Nongmynsong reached the target for the loss of eight wickets in 19 overs.
Sandeep made 29 not out, while Samuel took 4/23.
The other match of the day SOS, having lost the toss, make 129 in their 20 overs, with Winning Star making 21 runs.
Prem claimed an impressive 4/7 in 2.3 overs.
Eleven Star then polished off the required runs in 14 overs and with six wickets in hand.
Pankaj made 28, while Dancing took 2/17.
The next matches of the Second Division will see Sales XI SC face Boys of Gorkha at 8:30am on Tuesday before Pine Wood play Nongrim Hills at 12 noon.
