SHILLONG, Feb 6: The State Council of Science, Technology & Environment (SCSTE) Meghalaya has successfully concluded its Science Exposure Trip 2025, with four batches of students and teachers returning after an enriching educational journey to Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru.
According to a statement here, the initiative provided participants with first-hand exposure to advancements in science and technology through visits to renowned institutions.
In Kolkata, students explored Science City, Victoria Memorial, Rail Museum, Botanical Garden and the Indian Museum, gaining insights into scientific innovations and historical heritage.
Similarly, in Chennai, they visited IIT Madras, Periyar Science Centre, Anna Library, Arun Ice Cream Manufacturing Industry, ICAR and Marine Life Research at Marina Beach, where they learned about cutting-edge research and industrial processes.
Meanwhile, the Bengaluru leg of the trip included visits to the Centre for Brain Research (IISc), KSCST Centre for Sustainable Technologies (IISc), HAL Heritage Centre and Aerospace Museum and Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, along with live science demonstrations by IISc research scholars.
