EGH meeting takes up issues concerning govt departments

TURA, Feb 10: Various issues relating to government departments were discussed during the East Garo Hills District Planning and Development Committee (DPDC) meeting, held at the conference room of the Circuit House, Williamnagar, on Monday.
The meeting was convened by DPDC chairman and Rongjeng MLA Jim M Sangma, and attended by Minister in charge of the PHE, Soil and Water Conservation, Housing, etc, Marcuise Marak, Deputy Commissioner Vibhor Aggarwal, District Planning Officer DA Sangma, DRDA Project Director BDOs and other officials of various departments.
In his address, the DC highlighted the need to convene the DPDC meetings to bring out the action plan for the district.
Meanwhile, Marak, while speaking about the importance of the committee meeting, highlighted the vision of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and informed that the DPDC is the platform where issues relating to development of the district can be resolved.
Officials of different government departments also attended the meeting.
