Rohit becomes second-most successful Indian captain

Dubai, March 10: Rohit Sharma, who is certainly in the twilight of his career in ODIs, became the second-most successful Indian captain by clinching his second ICC title as India won the Champions Trophy final against New Zealand at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.
Under Rohit’s captaincy, India lifted their second ICC silverware in less than nine months after winning the 2024 T20 World Cup against South Africa in Bridgetown.It was also India’s fourth consecutive ICC final in less than two years – the World Test Championship (WTC) in 2023, the ODI World Cup in 2023, and the T20 World Cup in 2024 before playing their third successive Champions Trophy final in Dubai on March 9, 2025. India also became the first country to win the Champions Trophy for a record third time. (IANS)
