Cooperation among film makers felt

 SHILLONG: With an aim to bring about unity and co-ordination among the film makers of the state, the Meghalaya Film Makers Association (MeFIMA) has asked all the film makers and producers of the state to work in co-ordination with the Association in order to avoid problems.In a statement issued here on Tuesday, President of the Association Commander Shangpliang said with the number of filmmakers and producers increasing, a need was felt to inculcate unity and cooperation to avoid any confusions.

“The Association urged upon those upcoming film makers to have a discussion before releasing any of their films so as to avoid any confusion in future”, Shangpliang said.

Meanwhile, Shangpliang also informed that the Association would not allow any outsider to illegally use the name of the local people in making their film adding that the Association urged the people not to copyright any of the film produced by the people of the state as it is illegal.
