SHILLONG: Retired Director of Health Services (Medical Institution) and a noted physician of Shillong, Dr. Amalendu Das breathed his last at a hospital in Kolkata on Tuesday. He was 60.
A resident of Laitumkhrah, Dr. Das breathed his last at Kolkata Heart Clinic in the wee hours of Tuesday following cardiac arrest.
He was closely associated with the Ramakrishna Mission Charitable Dispensary. He left behind his mother, wife, son and daughter-in-law.
