British era water supply tank revived in city

Shillong, May 7: A British Era water constructed way back in 1936 was revived today. It was informed that the water tank has been catering to the people of Laban and Madan Laban areas for over 80 years. However, for over the year, the water pipes had started leaking.

The water pipes were renovated at a cost of over Rs 6 crores. Local MLA Sanbor Shullai released the water through new pipes in a small ceremony today attended by local residents
