‘Fun-O-Rama’ at university

SHILLONG, May 15: Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) hosted its annual intercollegiate cultural festival, Fun-O-Rama 2025, drawing students from colleges across Shillong for a day filled with creativity, collaboration, and celebration. Organised by the Student Council, the event served as a vibrant platform to showcase talent, academic innovation, and community spirit.
The highlight was the Cosplay competition, where Jasmine and George from Shillong College won first place, followed by Grace V Sailo from JD Institute of Designing, Bangalore and Rimika Wanniang from Synod College, Shillong as runners-up. Among other awardees were Pynshngain B Lyngkhoi from MLCU, Shillong who earned Best Performance, Iahunlang Kharmyndai and Daryll Warjri from Shillong Commerce College, Shillong, who took home the Best Costume award, and Della Nongspung from Lady Keane College, Shillong, who received the Judge’s Choice award.
The event featured departmental stalls, music and dance performances, games, and food courts, with each department creatively presenting their academic strengths to visitors.
Chief guest Rieward V Warjri, retired IFS officer, praised the university for promoting unity and creativity among the youth. A Student Council representative noted, “Fun-O-Rama is more than a festival — it’s about expression, connection, and community.”
