Cherry Blossom Fest 2024 bags two awards

SHILLONG, June 29: The Cherry Blossom Festival 2024 has been honoured with two prestigious Gold Awards at the WOW Awards Asia 2025, securing wins in the categories of ‘Special Event of the Year–Government/Organisation’ and ‘Festival of the Year’.
According to a statement, the announcement was made by Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh during a recent press briefing here.
“The awards recognise excellence in experiential marketing, live events, and entertainment across Asia, and these accolades mark a significant milestone for Meghalaya’s cultural calendar,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, the tourism minister congratulated all those involved and reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting Meghalaya as a premier destination for cultural tourism.
Celebrated for its vibrant blend of music, culture and natural beauty, the Cherry Blossom Festival has become a signature event that showcases the unique charm and spirit of Meghalaya, drawing visitors from across India and beyond.
