‘Missing’ girl en route to Dibrugarh for treatment

SHILLONG, July 7: A police team, along with the family of 31-year-old Janice Angel Mary Sawian, who was reported missing from Nongmensong on July 1, returned to Guwahati from Uttar Pradesh on Monday.
Sources said the family has decided to take Janice to Dibrugarh, Assam, for medical treatment.
According to her family, Janice has been undergoing treatment for bipolar disorder.
She is yet to reveal how she ended up in Uttar Pradesh.
It may be recalled that Janice was reported missing on July 1 after which her family filed a complaint at the Nongmensong police outpost.
She was found on Friday morning near a railway track in Uttar Pradesh and was taken into custody by local police authorities there.
