Two-day book exhibition at KV Umroi culminates

SHILLONG, July 9: Curtain came down on a two-day book exhibition, organised by PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Umroi Cantonment, on Wednesday.
According to a statement here, the book exhibition was organised with the aim of instilling a love for reading and promoting book culture among schoolchildren.
Held in the school library, the exhibition, which was open to all students and parents, showcased a wide range of books, including picture books, subject guides, storybooks, activity workbooks and reference materials.
“Children from various classes actively visited the exhibition and were seen selecting books with keen interest. The event not only aimed to promote reading habits but also to encourage students to explore the world beyond textbooks,” the statement said.
