Meeting
All Class 11 and 12 students from Shillong belonging to the Nepali community have been invited to attend the upcoming general meeting of the All Shillong Gorkhali Chaatra Sangathan (ASGCS) to be a part of the Junior Wing of the ASGCS. The meeting will be held at the Buddha Bhanu Saraswati College Hall at 11 am on July 27.
Inauguration
The North East Regional Institute of Education (NERIE), Shillong, will inaugurate two newly constructed buildings at NERIE, Barapani (Umiam) at 10 am on July 14. The event will be inaugurated by Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Sanjay Kumar, and graced by Director of NCERT Prof Dinesh Prasad Saklani.
Local holiday
West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner has declared July 16 as a local holiday on account of the 107th anniversary of Garo Labour Corps Day in the district. As such, all state government offices, magisterial and revenue courts, besides all educational institutions in the district will remain closed on the said date.
