SHILLONG: District level Inter-School Athletic Meets will take place in South West Khasi Hills and West Khasi Hills in April and May, respectively.
In a press release from the District Sports Officer of the two districts, PBW Nongbri, on Friday, it was announced that the South West Khasi Hills meet will take place from April 23-25 at Mawten, Mawkyrwat.
Entry forms will be available from the Block Development Officer, Mawkyrwat. The last date for entries is April 15.
The West Khasi Hills meet will take place in Nongstoin from May 7-9.
Forms can be obtained from the DSO and should be submitted by April 29.
The two sports meets are open to boys and girls in three categories – under-14, under-16 and above 16.
Different events will be held for the different age groups, such as 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 2000m, 5000m, 4x100m, 4x400m, long jump, high jump, triple jump, shot put, discus and javelin.
