Shillong, July 21:The Meghalaya Yogasana Sports Association, in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya, inaugurated its first-ever State Level Master Trainer Training Programme in Yogasana on Saturday.
The week-long programme, scheduled from July 19 to 26, is being held at the Youth Hostel in Shillong.
A total of 21 participants—three each from seven districts across the state—are attending the intensive training. The initiative aims to develop a pool of certified master trainers to promote and strengthen Yogasana as a competitive sport across Meghalaya.
The training is being conducted by nationally certified coaches from the prestigious National Institute of Sports (NIS), Patiala, Punjab. The curriculum for the programme has been carefully designed and approved by Yogasana Bharat, the national federation governing Yogasana sports in India.
