Mentally-unwell individual stabs minor in WGH

TURA, July 21: West Garo Hills Police have arrested a mentally-unsound person, who was under medication, for stabbing a minor at Selsella in the same district.
According to police, the incident took place at around 11 am in front of the Dolguri Durga Puja Mandir under Selsella OP when Abhijit Hajong (21) of Dolguri village stabbed Nomon Hajong (16) of the same village.
The accused stabbed the minor twice in the chest and abdomen.
The victim has been shifted to the Tura Civil Hospital for treatment and the accused subsequently arrested.
It was later learnt that the accused was under medication for his mental illness.
