Unclaimed bodies
One Biswajit Malakar (50), C/O Shillong Sadar Police Station, was admitted in the Male Medical Ward-I (Bed No. 13) of Civil Hospital, Shillong, on July 27 afternoon. The patient, however, passed away later in the day. IN this regard, the Additional Director of Health Services, Civil Hospital, Shillong, has asked concerned persons to collect the body within three days, failing which it will be sent for disposal.
An unknown male dead body was found lying dead at the compound of Punjab National Bank, Nongthymmai, Shillong, on Saturday morning. Accordingly, inquest and other formalities were observed and after completion of the post-mortem examination, the body was kept at NEIGRIHMS Morgue Room, Shillong, for identification and claim. The deceased was 26-27 years old, brown-complexioned, roughly 5 foot 5 inches tall, and was found wearing a black track jacket and blue jeans. Relatives and acquaintances have been asked to identify and claim the deceased from NEIGRIHMS Hospital.

Office-bearers
The Meghalaya Government Drivers Welfare Association has elected its office-bearers and executive members for the term 2025-28. The new members are Chervornal M Syiemlieh as president and Pynlang Nongkynrih as general secretary besides other executive members.
