City college holds graduation ceremony

SHILLONG, Aug 2: Synod College, Shillong, celebrated the graduation ceremony of the 2022–2025 batch of students on Thursday, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s 60th-year journey.
State Sports Minister Shakliar Warjri, who was the chief guest, congratulated the graduating students on achieving an important milestone in their lives. He also apprised them of the realities awaiting them in post-college life.
Encouraging the graduates to set goals and pursue their passions, Warjri stated, “Life without goals is meaningless.”
He urged students to develop their skills and take advantage of various government initiatives in skill enhancement and entrepreneurship.
Special awards were presented to students who featured on the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Merit List. Among them, Manuel L. Rynghang received the Primrose Gatphoh Memorial Award for securing the first position in BCA Honours.
Also present at the ceremony were the president of the governing body of Synod College, the principal, the vice principal, the IQAC coordinator, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and proud parents.
