BANGKOK, Aug 9: Thailand and Cambodia have reaffirmed their adherence to a ceasefire to end a brief armed conflict, with three Thai soldiers injured in a blast along the border.
The incident, which occurred in Thailand’s Sisaket province, demonstrates the continued use of concealed weapons in border areas and a violation of the Ottawa Convention, an international agreement banning anti-personnel mines.
Both countries have committed to a 13-point agreement on implementing their truce. (AP)
