Swami Vivekananda’s 150th Birth Anniversary celebrations
SHILLONG: A month long concluding ceremony in celebration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda organized by Ramakrishna Mission, Cherrapunjee ended recently in a befitting manner.
In this connection, a Value Education programme for the professionals was held on March 21 at Gauhati University in collaboration with the University.
About 350 professionals participated in the Value Education Programme and the month long ceremony started on the March 1 with a value education programme for parents at the Shella Ashrama of the East Khasi Hills district, to make parents aware about man-making values besides the formal textbook information.
On March7, a Regional Level Youth Convention was held at Imphal (Manipur) in the presence of Vinod Kumar Duggal, Governor of Manipur and Swami Atmapriyanandaji Maharaj, Vice chancellor, Vivekananda University, Belur Math(HQ).
