AMPATI: With the Lok Sabha elections round the corner, the South West Garo Hills District Police has stepped up operations along with the CRPF, BSF, video surveillance team and flying squad teams maintain law and order during the entire election process and to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections in the district.

Up to March 31, 2014 last, altogether 192 arms have been deposited at SP’s office, Ampati, in response to the order issued by the District Police to all the arms license holders in the district.
