Chief Secretary to retire on Sept 30

SHILLONG, Sep 5: Chief Secretary Donald Philip Wahlang will retire from service on September 30.
A notification issued by the state government said that on attaining the age of superannuation, Chief Secretary DP Wahlang, a 1993 batch IAS Officer, will retire from government service with effect from September 30.
Wahlang took over as the Chief Secretary of Meghalaya on August 1, 2022, succeeding Rebecca V. Suchiang.
Additional Chief Secretary Shakil P. Ahammed is likely to succeed Wahlang as the next Chief Secretary of Meghalaya.
