SHILLONG, Sep 24: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong has directed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to go deeper into its investigation into the death of four-year-old Insaphira Lyngdoh Mawnai of Nongrah Nonglum to find out the exact cause and circumstances leading to her death.
Tynsong told reporters on Wednesday that he has asked the SIT to find out why the 13-year-old boy, who was picked up as the prime suspect in the case, had kept quiet about the incident without informing everyone about the incident.
The post-mortem report indicated drowning as the cause of Insaphira’s death.
