NEW DELHI, Sep 29: Gold surged to a record ₹1,19,500 per 10g and silver hit ₹1.5 lakh per kg in Delhi amid global safe-haven demand, fears of a US government shutdown, and Fed rate cut expectations.
Globally, gold neared $3,860/oz and silver topped $47/oz. Strong industrial demand, ETF inflows, and geopolitical risks also fueled the rally in precious metals. (PTI)
