Cong likely to pick candidates for GHADC election by Dec

SHILLONG, Oct 5: The Congress party is likely to finalise its candidates for next year’s GHADC elections by December.
Informing this, Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Vincent Pala said the party has already begun the process of identifying potential candidates for the polls scheduled to be held next year.
He added that the party has drawn up a blueprint to guide its preparations and has already started campaigning, although the efforts are yet to be intensified.
It may be mentioned that other political parties in the state have also begun groundwork for the GHADC polls, which are being viewed as a “semifinal” ahead of the 2028 Assembly elections.
