3 drug peddlers held in WGH

TURA, Oct 19: Cracking down on the drug menace, 3 suspected drug peddlers were on Saturday morning arrested by the West Garo Hills Police.
According to police, the ANTF team along with the Araimile PS staff, after receiving prior information, laid a Naka at Upper Damalgre during which, they intercepted a public bus with registration number- ML 14A-1976.
The suspected drug peddlers namely- Ajay Debnath, Niranjan Chakraborty, and Suman Sen were traveling from Garobadha towards Tura in the said public bus. A search of the tree suspects led to the recovery of 22 vials containing suspected heroin drugs weighing 2.1 grams from their possession.
The trio was immediately arrested and the recovered drugs seized.
