SHILLONG: JKRP Secondary School bagged three gold medals on the opening day of the 2nd South West Khasi Hills District Level Inter-School Athletic Meet at Mawten Playground, Mawkyrwat, on Wednesday.
JKRP also claimed a silver and three bronze finishes.
The three-day meet will witness 20 schools from across the district and 567 athletes compete in the different disciplines, split into three age categories – under-14, under-16 and above-16 – for boys and girls.
I Mawlong, ADC South West Khasi Hills, attended the function as chief guest along with other dignitaries.
The athletics meet will close on April 25 with Niandro Syiemiong, Syiem of Hima Maharam, being present as chief guest.
