Theft

On April 25 around 2 am, unknown miscreants stole one Bolero Camper (ML-10A-5048) belonging to Barister Marwein from his residence at Nongthymmai, Umsning (RB). Matter is under enquiry.

On April 23 night, unknown miscreants broke into Ram Krishna Mission School at Thana Road, Shillong. Materials stolen and value is yet to be estimated.

On the night of April 21, unknown miscreants stole nineteen batteries amounting to Rs. 70,000 from Tower No. 0012 of TRNE Company at Mookynniang, Khliehtyrshi village (WJH).

Asault

Deepak Hajong lodged a complainant at Madanrting PS that on April 24 around 6 am, his brother-in-law Amit Debbarma a truck driver went to the house of his employer Tngenlang Dkhar to ask his pending salary. Instead, one woman raised an alarm and alleged that he attempted to rape her. Following this, the local residents assaulted Amit Debbarma and snatched his purse containing Rs. 10,000 and other personal belongings.

On April 23 at about 11 pm, unidentified miscreants (4/5) assaulted one Khemlal Pohkrel (53) at Golf Link, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to CH Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.

Threat case

Dr. DVR Sangma of CH Williamnagar lodged a complaint at Williamnagar PS that on April  24 around 5 pm, one Bablu Arengh trespassed into her compound at Williamnagar (EGH) and threatened Chalantika Ch. Momin with dire consequences.

Vishal Chettri of Lawmali, Shillong lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on April  24, Firdous Warjri threatened of committing suicide and to put the blame on him. He also threatened the complainant with dire consequences.
lM. Sawkmie of Mawlai Mawroh, Umsohkhlur, Shillong lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that on April  23, her son Eric Sawkmie (20) threatened her with dire consequences. Police arrested the accused.

Rape attempt

On April 24 at about 7:30 am, one truck driver Amit Debbarma (29) attempted to rape a forty year old woman at Mawblei, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.

Body recovered

On April 24 around 9:30 am, the decomposed body of a nine-month-old baby was recovered from a drain at Lumjingsuk, Madanrting, Shillong. Necessary formalities were observed, matter is under enquiry.

Suicide attempt

Dr. D.V.R Sangma, M & HO, lodged a complaint at Williamnagar PS that on April  20, one patient of CH Williamnagar Afilbirth R Marak attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison in his residence at Dawa Gittinggre village (EGH).

Arrest

Regarding kidnapping of one minor boy David Kynru (6) from Lad Umsaw (RB), during investigation, on April 24, Police laid a trap at Lad Umsaw (RB) and arrested the accused., Lalu Rajput and rescued the minor boy. The victim was handed over to his parents.

Misappropiation

  • Dr. F.M. Giri of Mawlai Phudmuri, Shillong lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that on Jul. 5, 2013 and Aug. 5, 2013, his ex-wife Alpha Mary Tiewla applied a car loan in his name without his knowledge. On Jul. 4, 2011, Oct. 30, 2011 and Jan. 24, 2012, she withdrew an amount of Rs. 40,000, Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 30,000  from his account at SBI Main Branch, Shillong and Rs. 2,51,000- from his account at ICICI Bank in the months of Aug. & Sep. 2012.
  • Ramdeo Prasad lodged a complaint at Jhalupara BH that on April  Nov. 4, 2012, Ashok Gupta took Rs. 4 lakh on loan from him. On April  21, when he asked to repay the loan the accused refused to pay and threatened him with dire consequences at Bishop Cotton Road, Shillong.
  • Vikash Banka lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that Shri Susantra Mitra, General Manager, Sales of SRM Plasto Pvt. Ltd., Lukier Road, Shillong misappropriated a sum of Rs. 15 lakhs from different customers of North East since 2010.
