Kidnapping of girls

R. Mary Lawai, Ridalin Pyngrope and Yunity Syiemiong all from Nongrah, Shillong, lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on April 24 around 10.30 am, their daughters 18 yrs, 14 yrs and 15 yrs were kidnapped by one Bahduh of Mawlai, Shillong and three others and took them to Shillong By-Pass. However, the first two girls managed to escape and have safely returned to their respective homes while the third returned home the next day (April 25).
