Body of man found in EJH

SHILLONG, Nov 24: An unidentified man’s body, estimated to be around 26 years old and suspected to be a non-tribal, was found in East Jaintia Hills district on November 19, around 10 AM. Authorities received a report from Min Lamare, Headman of Kuliang village, that a male body had been discovered in a forested area near Khliehkuling Pamlum, close to NH-06 in Kuliang. The body was sent to Civil Hospital Khliehriat for a post-mortem examination and is currently kept at the hospital morgue for identification.
In another case, during the early hours of November 18, an unknown man, aged 35-40 years, was found unconscious by the roadside along the National Highway at Mawpun in Ri-Bhoi.
He was initially taken to Bhoirymbong CHC for treatment, then referred to Civil Hospital Nongpoh, and later shifted to NEIGRIHMS, Shillong, where he remains admitted in the ICU. Despite efforts, police have not been able to confirm his identity as no documents or mobile phone were found on him or near the location where he was discovered.
He was wearing a blue T-shirt with a black and white horizontal stripe across the chest and blue jeans when he was found.
