Shilong, Nov 29: Meghalaya recorded a landmark moment in its sporting journey as Albinash M. Marak became the first central referee from the state to officiate at the 69th SGFI National Taekwondo Championship in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
Marak, representing the Meghalaya Taekwondo Association, was appointed as a middle referee for the Under-17 category — a notable milestone for both the association and the wider sporting fraternity of the state.
The 69th School Games Federation of India (SGFI) National Taekwondo Championship for Under-17 boys and girls took place on 27 November 2025, drawing young competitors from across the country.
Marak’s inclusion on the officiating panel underscores Meghalaya’s rising footprint in national sports administration and stands as a proud moment for the state’s Taekwondo community.
