SHILLONG, Dec 4: Governor CH Vijayashankar on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day received Col. Darryl Hopkins (Retd.), Director of Sainik Welfare, Meghalaya, at Raj Bhavan, where he was presented with the Armed Forces Flag Day lapel pin as a symbol of solidarity with soldiers, veterans and their families.
The Governor expressed appreciation for the courage and sacrifice of armed forces personnel and stressed the importance of supporting welfare initiatives meant for their well-being.
He also urged citizens to contribute to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund as a gesture of respect and recognition of their service to the nation.
