Golden Globes honours Alia Bhatt at Red Sea Film Festival

At the fifth edition of Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Film Festival, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt and Tunisian star Hend Sabry were honoured by the Golden Globes at a gala dinner. Alia received the Golden Globes Horizon Award for her outstanding contributions to international cinema, celebrated for performances in films like Highway, Raazi, Udta Punjab, Dear Zindagi, and Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Sabry was awarded the Omar Sharif Award, recognised for her impactful roles in The Yacoubian Building, Scheherazade, Tell Me a Story, and Asmaa.
Both actresses expressed pride in telling stories that empower women.
The event was attended by notable celebrities including Sigourney Weaver, Idris Elba, Salman Khan, and Riz Ahmed.
Alia, daughter of Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan, will next star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, releasing March 20, 2026. (IANS)
