Only Rs 1.5 lakh stolen from SBI Umiam branch: Police

SHILLONG: State Police has clarified that an amount of Rs. 1,50,321 and not Rs 71 lakh was stolen from the SBI Umiam Branch last week.
Police confirmed that the miscreants could steal only an amount of Rs. 1,50,321 while another Rs. 17,800/- got burnt during the execution of the crime.
The miscreants also stole one SBBL gun, one DBBL gun and five cartridges from the bank.
