SGH activist wants POCSO case against MDC reopened

TURA, Dec 14: Social activist from South Garo Hills, Greneth Sangma, on Sunday sought the reopening of the POCSO case pending against GHADC MDC Stevie Marak for further investigation.
According to Greneth, an FIR was filed at the Tura Women’s Police Station by one Mingran T. Sangma after a video allegedly showing the MDC speaking to a minor girl went viral on social media.
He claimed that the case against the MDC remains pending without any action.
Greneth, in his complaint to the Chairperson of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights in Shillong, has demanded that the pending case be reopened.
He has also sought that details of the said case be provided to him while pressing for appropriate action.
