SHILLONG, Dec 17: Amid claims by rival parties that the United Democratic Party (UDP) is sinking, party leader Kyrmen Shylla on Wednesday said that only elections would reveal whether the party is sinking or growing.
“But as far as our preparation is concerned, we feel we will grow,” he said.
He also said that people expect the party to perform, but for the party to do so, people also need to give the party the strength and numbers.
Asked about the threat posed by the VPP, he said that the party does not take anyone lightly and that all political parties have their own strategies to grow.
