SHILLONG, Dec 22: In a gesture of goodwill ahead of Christmas, the United Democratic Party (UDP) on Monday donated Rs 1 lakh to Reach Shillong Ministries during a pre-Christmas celebration held at the party office on Boyce Road, Laitumkhrah.
The cheque was handed over by UDP president Metbah Lyngdoh to Rev. Reuben G. Laloo of Reach Shillong Ministries as part of the party’s outreach initiatives.
Speaking on the occasion, Lyngdoh lauded the Reach Shillong Ministries for its commendable service to society, particularly its efforts in working for the welfare of underprivileged children.
“I was surprised to see that the Ministries are carrying out several activities for the welfare of underprivileged children,” Lyngdoh said, appreciating the organisation’s commitment and dedication.
