Taapsee Pannu stars in the upcoming investigative thriller Assi, directed by Anubhav Sinha, with a worldwide release on February 20. The motion poster, shared by Taapsee on Instagram, shows her running along railway tracks, pursued by three men, ending with her face smeared in ink. The film explores societal questions through an intense courtroom drama, challenging notions of justice and culpability. The ensemble cast includes Revathy, Manoj Pahwa, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Kani Kusruti, Naseeruddin Shah, Seema Pahwa, and Supriya Pathak. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Sinha under Benaras Mediaworks and T-Series, the campaign highlighted the film’s writer as the highest-paid crew member, emphasising the story’s centrality.
