ICC Men’s T20 World Cup

New Delhi, Feb 10: New Zealand’s World Cup campaign has suffered a setback with all-rounder Michael Bracewell ruled out of the remainder of the 2026 T20 World Cup after re-injuring his left calf. The injury is expected to keep him sidelined for nearly three weeks.
Off-spinning all-rounder Cole McConchie has been named as a travelling reserve and will join the squad in India, alongside fast bowler Ben Sears.
Bracewell had earlier picked up a calf tear during the third ODI against India last month. He remained unbeaten on 28 in the first innings of that match but did not take the field thereafter and was subsequently ruled out of the five-match T20I series.
According to a New Zealand Cricket release, Bracewell had been progressing through rehabilitation before aggravating the injury during warm-ups on Sunday. (Agencies)
