Shakira to perform in India after 19 years

Global pop icon Shakira is set to perform in India after 19 years, with concerts in Mumbai on April 10 and Delhi on April 15.
This marks the first time her shows in India will span two cities, with tickets exclusively managed by District by Zomato. Shakira last performed in Mumbai in 2007 during her Oral Fixation Tour, making this visit nearly two decades since her last Indian performance.
Expressing excitement about her return, Shakira said performing in India has always been special and highlighted the philanthropic angle of the Feeding India Concert, aiming to ensure children have access to proper nutrition.
With a career of over three decades, Shakira is among the world’s best-selling music artists. She rose to global fame in the 1990s with hits like Whenever, Wherever, Hips Don’t Lie, Waka Waka (This Time for Africa), She Wolf, La Tortura, and Beautiful Liar. The 49-year-old singer, born February 2, 1977, has won multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards and continues to maintain a massive international fan base. (IANS)
