Over one lakh students to receive scholarships from next week

SHILLONG, March 1: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has informed that over one lakh students across Meghalaya will benefit from the Chief Minister’s Scholarship Scheme, which will be disbursed into the beneficiaries’ account from March 8.
He informed that eligible students under the scheme will receive financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually to support their education.
The Chief Minister stated that the launch of the scholarship distribution will coincide with the completion of eight years of the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government, describing the occasion as a significant milestone in the government’s continued service to the people of the state.
