TURA, March 11: A Garo Hills-based organisation, the ASPF, has filed an FIR against three residents—Enamul Hoque, Esmatur Mominin, and Sofior Rahman—for allegedly instigating communal tension and promoting enmity ahead of the GHADC polls.
The complaint was lodged on Wednesday by ASPF chief organising secretary Raksim Marak at the Songsak Police Station in East Garo Hills.
The FIR alleges that the individuals used speeches, social media posts, and organized gatherings to circulate provocative content targeting specific communities to create distrust and hostility for political gain.
The ASPF stated that such activities pose a threat to public order and could lead to communal unrest or a breakdown of law and order.
