New Delhi: The appeals of four football clubs — Mohammedan Sporting, United SC, Churchill Brothers and Rangdajied United — against their disbandment will come up for consideration when the AIFF club licensing appeals committee meets at the Football House here on Tuesday.
Justice (retd) N.K. Sud of the Punjab and Haryana High Court will chair the meeting which will also have Sanjeev Paul, managing director TATA Metalicks, and Neel Ratan, executive director, PricewaterhouseCoopers as committee members.
The club licensing committee, which met at the governing body’s headquarters on May 21 decided to disband the four clubs based on the documents provided by all the 14 clubs and the inspection conducted by the AIFF team during April-May.
The requirements include legal, administration, sporting, infrastructure and financial criteria which all clubs are required to meet.
The licence is required by each club to compete under the AIFF’s Indian club licensing system, and is reviewed annually based on a team’s overall performance. (IANS)
