Larityngkai clinches bronze at Tribal Games

Shillong, March 26: Meghalaya’s promising weightlifter Larityngkai Lawriniang brought laurels to the state by securing a bronze medal in the 53kg category at the 1st Tribal Games 2026 on Wednesday.
Hailing from East West Khasi Hills District, Larityngkai delivered a commendable performance on the national stage, underlining her steady rise in the sport. She is part of the STAR Programme (TID-1-2022) and has also been nurtured through the EPP and SEPP initiatives, which continue to identify and develop young sporting talent in the state.
