WJH DC bans use of domestic LPG for commercial purposes

JOWAI, March 28: To ensure an uninterrupted supply of LPG for households, the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Jaintia Hills, has prohibited commercial establishments from using domestic cylinders.
The directive applies to all business units, including hotels, guest houses, dhabas, tea stalls and bakeries. These establishments are now required to use only commercial LPG cylinders (19 kg) for their operations.
LPG distributors have also been instructed not to supply domestic cylinders to commercial entities under any circumstances.
The administration warned that any violation will attract strict legal action.
The general public has been requested to report any misuse of domestic cylinders to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply) or other concerned authorities.
