Bhooth Bangla song plagiarism: Priyadarshan speaks out
Filmmaker Priyadarshan has addressed allegations that his upcoming film Bhooth Bangla uses a line from the song Bhuter Raja Dilo Bor from Satyajit Ray’s National Award-winning Bengali film Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne. Speaking at the trailer launch, he defended the song Ram Ji Bhala Karein, saying the word “Bhoot” is common and that the lyrics were written by the film’s lyricist, ensuring originality. He emphasised his respect for Ray, calling him “the God of Indian cinema,” and noted repeated words and titles are natural in films.
