Govt to spend over Rs 2.3 cr for Lok Bhavan area beautification

SHILLONG, April 25: The state government has invited tenders for the beautification of roads and triangular junctions surrounding Lok Bhavan, with an estimated project cost of over Rs 2.3 crore.
According to the PWD (Roads), the scope of work includes the construction of footpaths, RCC railings and drainage systems.
The project also features road widening, the improvement of triangular junctions and the installation of flower beds to enhance the area’s aesthetic appeal.
The total tender value is approximately Rs 2.31 crore, which includes a 5 per cent provision for maintenance.
The project is expected to be completed within 18 months from the date the final work order is issued.
